Add name pronunciations to your blog or news website.
"I wonder how that name
is pronounced?"
It’s a natural question that
comes to mind when visitors see a hard-to-pronounce name on your blog
or news-oriented website. Now there’s an interactive way to satisfy
their curiosity.
With the Ear It application
from The Name Engine®, your visitors won’t just see the
correct pronunciation—they’ll actually hear it. For instance, if
you blog about Bar Refaeli being spotted in Paris, Ear It will
enable your visitors to learn how she pronounces her name.
How does
Ear It work?
Ear It is a free service.
You simply copy and paste the code, and the Ear It icon
will automatically appear next to names on your site that match names
in The Name Engine database. When visitors mouse over the icon, a pop-up
box appears with a prompt to hear the correct pronunciation. There are
currently more than 1,300 featured names in the database—including
athletes, entertainers, politicians, and newsmakers—and more are being
added every week.
